Podatky Canada is a Telegram bot that keeps the expense records of a small Canadian business. You send it a photo; it reads the merchant, the date, the total and the GST/HST, shows you what it read, and — once you confirm — writes the row into a Google Sheet and files the photo beside it.
The books are yours
The spreadsheet and the receipts live in your Google Drive, in your own account. Not ours. When tax time comes you hand them to whichever accountant you choose — it is an ordinary Google Sheet, and anyone can read it. Stop paying us and everything stays exactly where it is.
The bot sees only what it makes
It asks Google for one permission: access to the files it creates for you. The rest of your Drive is invisible to it — not as a promise, but because Google does not grant it.

What it does not do
It is not an accountant and it gives no tax advice. It does not decide what is deductible and it files nothing with the CRA. It keeps the record; the decisions stay with you and your accountant.
